Have you found yourself in a place of working on every inch of your life, it seems? Wondering when will I get to the top? When will I be healed? When will life smooth out? When will it not feel like two steps forward one step back?
Take heart! Don't lose hope! And don't give up! You are working hard and moving forward even if it doesn't seem like it. You are pressing against lies that say, "you aren't good enough, you'll never make it, who do you think you are, you are not important, and what's the point, you will fail anyway." You, my friend, are saying "NO" to a lot!
You've learned that changing course starts in your mind, followed by actions and then feelings. You are discovering you have purpose and value, and your identity is designed for only you! You are a one of a kind gem and are learning to be you in a way you may never have thought possible. Keep taking a stand against the pressures of lies about you!
I want to encourage you, to think back or go to a place of the past that's safe. (I say this because I don't know your personal story, or journey from pain and anguish. And for some, it's not time to go back to that place that wasn't safe for you when pain occurred. It's ok to stay in the safe thoughts and places.) You my friend have changed! Think about it. The ways you used to think about yourself and others around you has changed. The way you handled situations and circumstances are different!
Let's take a moment and celebrate. Please don't be ashamed if right now you're feeling it's a small change. Again, your journey is not like others. Stop sometimes in this push and pull. Take a moment when you're feeling exhausted by "working out" thoughts, choices, and allow healing and rest to come into your mind and heart.
These moments of the exhaustion point, be good to yourself. Pause for a moment. I know that sounds comical as we surely can't pause life. But we can pause our "working out" and pushing against and think back to a safe time and remember who you were then and how differently you'd respond now.
Ok. Now let's celebrate!! No matter how small it may feel to you, please give yourself this moment. Like sipping iced tea on a hot day before commencing with life's daily going, drink in that cool beverage and sigh. That's this moment for you. Celebrate my friend! Celebrate this victory of a different You! You are working hard and you are moving forward! Don't stop in the middle, you may have to slow down, but don't give up here! And don't give in to those thoughts of exhaustion, because you, my friend, are changing. You are becoming the free and healed woman you desire to be. And you, my friend, are worth all of this time, energy, and healing.
Be encouraged! You are precious, wonderful, and so valuable! You are the only you! Keep pressing forward and you will see the reward of perseverance.
Be blessed my friend. I close with this hope from Ephesians 3:17-20 TPT:
"Then, by constantly using your faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside you, and the resting place of his love will become the very source and root of your life. Then you will be empowered to discover what every holy one experiences—the great magnitude of the astonishing love of Christ in all its dimensions. How deeply intimate and far-reaching is his love! How enduring and inclusive it is! Endless love beyond measurement that transcends our understanding—this extravagant love pours into you until you are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God! Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you."
